It is always great to see how that magnificent ship called Titanic is connecting the world by fascination - I am from Bavaria, Germany. Best wishes for the new year to you, and God bless you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272422988326718744.post-52911606453587218132009-12-30T21:48:44.563-05:002009-12-30T21:48:44.563-05:00Let me know if there are anymore inaccuracies.Let me know if there are anymore inaccuracies.all in the familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14229482893933471647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272422988326718744.post-24233955410623767172009-12-30T14:17:55.402-05:002009-12-30T14:17:55.402-05:00That's all right. Thanks for your honesty.all in the familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14229482893933471647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272422988326718744.post-56562921073024022452009-12-30T12:47:50.407-05:002009-12-30T12:47:50.407-05:00Thank you for correcting! But C57 was no model for Rose's suite in Cameron's movie; C57 did not have the blue silk tapestry which can be seen in the movie. Sorry for being that exact, but I'm a real Titanic geek since I was five years old;-)

Perhaps it would also be nice to know that the famous fireplace was only a fake one - like all the others on Titanic with one exception: The fireplace in the First Class smoking room was real. The fake ones had a metal plate in them which got hot and gleaming by electricity, so that they were actually serving as heaters and showing a "burning" effect.

Many greetings, and keep up your good work!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272422988326718744.post-17751094741167271972009-12-30T11:21:45.900-05:002009-12-30T11:21:45.900-05:00Thank you. The two millionaires suites were located on B Deck, one at the port side (B52, B54, B56) and one at the starboard side (B51, B53, B55). The Strauses' suite was located on C Deck and consisted of two rooms, a Regency style living room (shown here; C55) and an Empire style bedroom (C57). It was by pure accident that James Cameron chose the C55 design for his millionaires suite in the 1997 movie; the real design of the two living rooms of the millionaires suites was not regency, but Louis XVI (port side) and Adam style (starboard). But all in all great pictures on your website!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
